Visual and audible focus coincide. Moments of silence in my practice are few and far between. Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Industrial, and Jazz are driving forces behind my work. Here are my most accomplished artworks to date relating to music.
Fortid - 9
In 2014, I had the great opportunity to begin correspondence with founding member of 'Viking Metal' band FORTID concerning art design ideas. Several ideas were scrapped and revised before ending with the chosen published works. You can see my contribution here, as well as some unreleased color variations. These are pre-production images and do not fully represent the published work. FORTID - 9 was released on March 27th, 2015 through Schwarzdorn Production and is currently available for sale online.

Album Review - FORTID 9
In the genre of Heavy Metal; Fortid are on top of their game with a perfect fifth chapter into their discography. 9 brings a unique,raw sound and holds moments reminiscent of the most influential acts of Black Metal in the 90's. Technical guitar riffs brimming with hardened edges and drumming to pummel the life of tomorrow. This is the way 'Viking Metal' is supposed to be played; fast, pounding, and triumphant. 9 is a very smooth flowing album from start to finish, and a definite essential album for fans of the genre!

In The Woods...
It is an honor to have an opportunity to experiment with designs for In the Woods.... It began with a simple correspondence concerning a logo design and evolved into an overflow of ideas which sparked a major evolution in my artwork. The work found here is influenced by the music of In the Woods...(Heart of the Ages, Omnio, Strange in Stereo, Three Times Seven on a Pilgrimage). These artworks can be found in various posts online courtesy of the generous shares by ITW team & interest sparked a run of very nice t-shirts made available from Folter Records.
